weather defender review

All I can say is wow, weather defender is simply awesome the detail when zooming in is simply amazing you can zoom down to street level (see all the roads with names in my home town), and every feature and setting in the app. is customizable, after tinkering around with everything i could do, (and messing around with the settings to the point of no return i had to restart the application). i decided to get serious and make my setup for a real chase.

one sweet feature is the chat, you can chat to anyone who is out chasing, live and uncut. i can't wait to use it this spring/summer in my chasing adventures, i am looking forward to use this in the field, and i am looking forward to the future updates, to help the app run smoother, and faster, there is a few bugs/kinks in the software at the moment that are being work out, but that understandable with new software.

well the long wait is finally coming to an end, weather defender is coming out tomorrow and the chasing world and weather enthusiasts look to be excited about the new software, only a select few have gotten to see this in action about 50 beta testers. All i can say about it so far is the screen shoots look stunning, i am hoping this weekend i can put it to use... correction i will put it to use, i gotta get to know it from the inside-out, so i know what i am doing i the field, i don't wanna be stuck not knowing what certain things do and don't do....

I just moved to rice lake, wi within the past 2 years and an still trying to get around, don't know of anyone up here who chases much, so i do what i can with not knowing the area, i only went out once last year, the rest of the time i watched from my house VIA NOAA weather radio and the radar programs i own. if anyone around this neck of the woods is looking for a partner let me know.

what i use at home:

Swift wx professinal
GRlvl3 radar software
spotter network
SPC's websitea scanner with NOAA weather radio and the local ham radio repeaters/skywarn.

On the road:

laptop for access at free WIFI location
Swift wx professional (if internet access)

i am hoping this year will be a good one for chasing but who nows it is always different.

so i decided to start this blogg to pass some time away while i am laid off. lets she where this will take me. i am wanna blogg everyday or this all was a waste of my time. we will see!

anywho this blogg will mainly be about the weather, mainly severe weather, and storm chasing, tracking, or what ever you may call it, seems everyone has a different name and term for it.

hope i can keep this going
